Step One
Lab Five is an introduction to "Mammalian Anatomy ". In this lab, you will dissect a virtual fetal pig. Both pigs and humans are mammals; therefore, you will be studying mammalian anatomy of the pig and relate to the anatomy in humans.
The period of pregnancy, or gestation, in pigs is approximately 17 weeks (compared to an average of 40 weeks in humans). the piglets used for this lab will usually be within 1 to 2 weeks of birth.
