About
This online lab course is for those students of any major, but especially non science students who need a transferable, lab-science course. This course also serves students who are in the online AA degree program.
Course Description
This one semester course is designed to introduce concepts needed to study the complexity of humans in a biological world. The body systems are investigated and understood in a pattern of wellness.
Course Objectives
- To understand basics of various human body systems and their connections to our lives.
- To gain basic knowledge and appreciation for how science works.
- To acquire skills of observation, analysis, and synthesis through problem solving and simulated animal dissection.
- To appreciate the diversity and beauty of all life forms.
- To prepare students to critically evaluate biological information and its significance to our society and environment.
